The series “Stories Children Love” is for boys and girls 4 to 10 years old. To help the reader in a task which is not at all easy — for much beauty is lost through thoughtless reading — the author suggests slow reading in a natural tone of voice, with careful attention to emphasis. The reader must enjoy the story with the child. To taste the full pleasure of reading to a child, the two must roam together hand in hand as it were, through the wonderland of make-believe.
